Conestoga Contracting Group is growing and seeking a full-time permanent Landscape Designer who can also develop our sales pipeline. This hybrid role out of Elmira blends creative landscaping and persuasive sales capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, qualify, and cultivate new opportunities from existing clients through value-selling and cross-selling services.
Develop new leads through multiple channels (cold calls, digital marketing, referrals, industry networks, etc.).
Use design software (e.g., AutoCAD, U-Vision, Smart Draw) to create 2D/3D renderings and plans; incorporate elements such as landscaping, decking, lighting, water features, spas, and outdoor structures for clients.
Perform on-site assessments to gather accurate measurements and evaluate site conditions. This includes grading and providing proper drainage solutions.
Prepare detailed proposals and present comprehensive quotes to clients.
Work with landscape construction teams to make sure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in landscaping design, pool design and construction estimating including grading and draining solutions.
Proven experience with landscape sales and outdoor spaces.
Proficiency in design tools such as U-Vision, Smart Draw, AutoCAD.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for site visits and for seminars and networking events.

Reporting to the Zone Foreman, the Salt Truck Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining salt trucks to ensure proper application of de-icing materials on roadways, parking lots, and other designated areas. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating heavy trucks or equipment, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work flexible hours during winter weather events.
*Based on attendance and performance, this role can lead to a full-time landscaping maintenance role starting in the spring, granted up to 50/hours of work every week with benefits, annual performance raises, and career development opportunities tied to raises.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate various snow removal machines, including sidewalk tractors, snowplows, and salt trucks.
Apply salt, sand, brine, or other de-icing materials according to site requirements and weather conditions.
Pile snow in designated and approved locations only.
Inspect trucks and equipment before and after each shift, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
Accurately track and record material usage and hours worked.
Respond promptly to dispatch calls and weather-related events, including overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Wash and clean trucks and equipment after each use to prevent corrosion, improve safety, and maintain a professional appearance.
Maintain clear communication with supervisors, dispatch, and crew members during operations.
Follow all company policies and safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
Provide professional service at client properties, representing Conestoga’s values of reliability and quality.
Assist in operating sidewalk snow removal equipment, including plows, snow blowers, sweepers, and spreaders.
Assist in shovelling and clearing snow manually from walkways, stairs, building entrances, fire exits, and other designated areas.
Required Qualifications
Availability for on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays during winter storms.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
Previous experience operating salt trucks, plow trucks, skid steers, or other heavy equipment.
Valid G driver’s license and reliable transportation to drive to work sites.
Knowledge of safe driving practices in winter weather conditions.
Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform basic equipment checks.
Reliable, punctual, and flexible for on-call winter work.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Operations
Respond promptly to snow and ice events when called, including overnight, weekend, and holiday
shifts.
Clear snow and ice from walkways, driveways, parking lots, stairs, building entrances, fire exits, and
other designated areas in compliance with client requirements and safety standards.
Apply de-icing materials (salt, sand, brine, or other approved products) according to site needs and
weather conditions.
Pile snow only in designated and approved locations.
Maintain clear communication with supervisors, dispatch, and crew members throughout operations.
Provide professional service at client properties, demonstrating reliability and quality consistent with
Conestoga’s values.
Perform other duties as required.
Equipment
Operate a variety of snow removal equipment such as shovels, snow blowers, sweepers, sidewalk
tractors, plows, and salt/sand/brine spreaders.
Perform pre- and post-event inspections of trucks, equipment, and assigned properties; report any
maintenance or repair needs.
Wash and clean all trucks and equipment after each use to prevent corrosion, ensure safety, and
maintain a professional appearance.
Accurately track and record material usage and hours worked.
Health & Safety
Follow all company policies and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe operation
of equipment.
Maintain awareness of surroundings to prevent property damage or injury.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations during snow and ice management
operations.
Route and Team Management
Each zone will have the following:
1. Salt Truck- Site inspections nightly. Every zone is assigned 1 salt truck for weather events. Salt trucks
salt the asphalt after plowing is complete.
2. Plow Team- Multiple vehicles dependent on properties- either trucks or equipment. Responsible for
clearing the snow and ensuring snow piles go in the assigned spots.
3. Sidewalk Team- Clearing and Salting. Responsible for clearing and salting sidewalks and any spaces
plows can’t reach (curb cuts, handicap spaces, any curbs). Sidewalk teams are managed by Corey.
What you will receive:

3. Start times via the WhatsApp Group
The Winter Zone Manager is responsible for monitoring the chat and notifying zone team members of start
times by phone. You must speak directly with each member and confirm they received the information. If
unreachable after 3 attempts, spaced 5 minutes apart, leave a voicemail and send a text requesting
confirmation.
Communication Channels:
Crew Leads, Crew Members, Zone Managers and Route Managers are expected to be available 24/7 and
maintain constant communication with dispatch, leadership, and their zone teams.
You will be added to and expected to monitor regularly:
The WhatsApp group for weather updates and coordination.
Your Zone WhatsApp group for start times, site completion updates, and event communication.
The SOS email list is to respond to client service requests. SOS service requests in your zone are the
responsibility of the Winter Zone Manager to be completed or delegated to be completed.
Other Responsibilities:
Share your contact information with your crew and fellow Crew Leads for emergencies and planning.
Keep your phone fully charged before each shift and carry a charging cord (trucks are equipped with
charging ports).
Ensure your data plan can support email, maps, and Aspire/LMN without Wi-Fi.
Refer to the CCG electronic device policy for full requirements.
